About Us
Georgia Pools is a family business founded in 1973 by Jeff Minchew. After retiring from the Air Force, he and his family settled in Toccoa.
The business was started as Georgia Pools Fire Equipment Co., but within a year, Jeff chose to expand the business. After much thought, study, and prayer, he grew the business to include swimming pools. Until then, his local friends and neighbors would travel far distances to Atlanta for swimming pools and supplies. Being a local family-owned and operated business enabled Jeff to bring the best pool installation, pool and spa service, and water analysis, closer to home.
For many years, Georgia Pools has studied the pool construction business and the essential products needed to maintain your pool and spa. We only sell products that we feel are the highest quality and we feel are the best for our friends and neighbors.
Georgia Pools has always been a family business because families are its business. We at Georgia Pools feel that the Lord has truly blessed us with prosperity and good, loyal, and faithful employees and customers. Without these, we would not have a business.
The legacy of Georgia Pools continues as the founder's granddaughter now manages the business. Kristi and Jason Oliver took over the family business in 2016
